News Release! 3/31/2007: "Lamb of God" by local artist Kathleen Giles is on display at the Market Street Art Center.
The original watercolor is part of the new Whalen-Giles Rotating Exhibit at the art center. The painting is a departure from Giles' usual work who's religious paintings ordinarily feature a smiling Jesus.

"The work has already generated many comments," says Sally Bisher, director of the art center, "all of them positive. It is a very powerful image that reminds us that Easter is about more than chocolate eggs."

The image will be on display until April 21st. The Market Street Art Center is located at 247 Market Street in Lockport. Hours are 10am to 5pm daily. Although the original is not for sale, prints are available at both the Art Center and at the artist's home studio at 2336 Hartland Road.
